Significant deposits of rare earth metals and strategic minerals are concentrated in several regions of Ukraine, including <strong data-start=\"455\" data-end=\"478\">Zaporizhzhya region<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"483\" data-end=\"743\">According to geologists, of the region's eight major mineral deposits <strong data-start=\"554\" data-end=\"614\">five are currently on the temporarily occupied territory<\/strong>. Among them. <strong data-start=\"628\" data-end=\"655\">Novopoltavske field<\/strong>, which is considered one of the largest in Ukraine in terms of rare earth metals.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"745\" data-end=\"810\"><strong data-start=\"749\" data-end=\"810\">Rare earth metals: Zaporizhzhia's strategic potential<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"812\" data-end=\"991\">As Doctor of Geological Sciences explained <strong data-start=\"847\" data-end=\"864\">Vitaly Sukach<\/strong>and rare earth metals (lanthanides - cerium, holmium, neodymium, etc.) are extremely important for high-tech industries:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"994\" data-end=\"1057\"><strong data-start=\"994\" data-end=\"1005\">holmium<\/strong> is used in the production of nuclear reactors,<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1060\" data-end=\"1114\"><strong data-start=\"1060\" data-end=\"1069\">cerium<\/strong> - in the oil refining and automotive industries,<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1117\" data-end=\"1174\"><strong data-start=\"1117\" data-end=\"1127\">neodymium<\/strong> - in the manufacture of hard drives and magnets.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1176\" data-end=\"1534\">On the temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhzhia region are located <strong data-start=\"1242\" data-end=\"1269\">Novopoltavske field<\/strong> - a complex deposit whose ores contain <strong data-start=\"1317\" data-end=\"1377\">lanthanum elements, uranium, fluorine, niobium, zirconium and lithium<\/strong>. \"Such deposits are usually mixed, with rare earth elements in combination with tantalum, niobium, cesium or rubidium,\" Sukach said.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1536\" data-end=\"1585\"><strong data-start=\"1540\" data-end=\"1585\">Research history and development prospects<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1587\" data-end=\"1879\"><strong data-start=\"1587\" data-end=\"1614\">Novopoltavske field<\/strong> was explored in 1970, and detailed geological studies continued until 1991. It was then that the reserves of a number of rare elements were officially confirmed. However, the exact volume data remains secret, and <strong data-start=\"1815\" data-end=\"1876\">the degree of field development requires additional investment<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1881\" data-end=\"2041\">\"The resources are sufficient to start production, but additional exploration is needed to determine the exact structure and location of the ore,\" the scientist explained.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2043\" data-end=\"2083\"><strong data-start=\"2047\" data-end=\"2083\">Other strategic resources of the region<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2085\" data-end=\"2155\">In addition to Novopoltavske, there are several other promising fields in the region:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"2158\" data-end=\"2353\"><strong data-start=\"2158\" data-end=\"2173\">Krutaya Balka<\/strong> (near the temporarily occupied Berdiansk) - contains <strong data-start=\"2227\" data-end=\"2269\">Lithium, tantalum, niobium, cesium and rubidium<\/strong>used in the production of batteries and components for fusion systems.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2356\" data-end=\"2430\"><strong data-start=\"2356\" data-end=\"2377\">Surozhske field<\/strong> - <strong data-start=\"2380\" data-end=\"2390\">gold<\/strong>is one of the most promising in the region.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2433\" data-end=\"2514\"><strong data-start=\"2433\" data-end=\"2454\">Troitske field<\/strong> - <strong data-start=\"2457\" data-end=\"2467\">graphite<\/strong>is in demand in industry and energy.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2517\" data-end=\"2675\"><strong data-start=\"2517\" data-end=\"2540\">Bilyayivske field<\/strong> -
