Former Ukrainian Foreign Minister and former ambassador to the UK Vadym Prystaiko believes that Ukraine signed an agreement with the US on minerals on unfavourable terms for our country. He said this in an interview with Radio NV.

"It seems to me that we were set up - we took the bait and then didn't know what to do. When you are negotiating with a major mineral power and your competitor is an even bigger mineral power, it is hard to see how you can win this game," the diplomat said.

According to Prystaiko, Ukraine is participating in a process whose rules were determined by others, while "other players have completely different expectations."

"I would not, for example, play a game where Russia can come and say, 'Lithium? That's not even serious. Look, we have titanium. Do you want lithium? We have plenty of it - even in the occupied territories of Ukraine." We are playing an imposed game, realising that the odds are not in our favour," he concluded.
